Sofwave™ is a non-invasive ultrasound treatment offered at our Dallas clinic that firms and smooths skin with little to no downtime. It's FDA-cleared to improve facial lines and wrinkles and to lift the brow, under-chin, and neck.

How does Sofwave™ work?

Sofwave's patented SUPERB™ technology delivers controlled ultrasound energy to the mid-dermis, the layer of skin where collagen lives. That gentle heat prompts your skin to build new collagen and elastin over time. Built-in SofCool™ technology cools the surface throughout treatment to protect your skin and keep you comfortable.

What can Sofwave™ improve?

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• A heavy or low brow

• Mild laxity under the chin

• Loose skin on the neck

Sofwave™ can be used on its own or as part of a broader plan with injectables and skin treatments.

What should I expect during treatment?

We may apply a numbing cream first. During treatment, you'll feel brief pulses of warmth beneath the skin while SofCool™ keeps the surface cool. Most patients return to their normal day right afterward.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients see meaningful improvement after one treatment. Depending on your skin and goals, we may recommend a second.

When will I see results?

Some patients notice changes early, and results continue to develop over about 12 weeks as new collagen forms. Every patient's timeline is a little different.

Is there downtime?

Very little. Mild redness or swelling can appear after treatment and usually fades within a few hours. Some patients feel mild tenderness for a day or two.

Sofwave™ or Ultherapy?

Both use ultrasound, but they work at different depths. Sofwave™ targets the mid-dermis to improve lines, texture, and mild laxity, typically with a shorter, more comfortable treatment. Ultherapy works deeper and may suit patients with more significant laxity. At your consultation, we'll help you understand which approach fits your skin.
