Welcome to the Preservation Beauty Blog, a space where beauty meets purpose, and where you’ll get to know the stories, science, and soul behind every treatment. In this blog, we'll capture the inspiring journey of Livia Perez, and learn what led her to create the sanctuary that is Preservation Beauty Clinic.
Where It All Began: A Childhood Dream Rooted in Beauty
Since I was a little girl, I’ve been captivated by beauty. I used to play with my grandmother’s makeup and hair tools, experimenting and teaching myself how to style hair, do makeup, and dress, especially since my mom wasn’t into those things herself. Over the years, my friends would always turn to me to help them get ready for special moments from school dances to weddings. My mom once dreamed I’d open a beauty salon, but my heart was equally drawn to science and anatomy, which led me to pursue a career in nursing.
While in nursing school, aesthetics wasn’t something that was talked about. I spent five years in the NICU, caring for the tiniest and most fragile lives. Then, everything changed when I began working with a plastic surgeon. That’s when I discovered the art of injecting and I was obsessed. It felt like a sculptor blending creativity, precision, and beauty in a way that lit me up inside. I dove in headfirst, studying obsessively, enrolling in every course I could find, and eventually made the leap from the NICU into aesthetics full time.
Today, I’m grateful every day to do what I love a career where beauty and science intersect, where I get to enhance what already makes each person uniquely beautiful. It never feels like work, it feels like purpose.
Why I Started Preservation Beauty Clinic
The idea to start my own business was sparked by my clients. They believed in me before I fully believed in myself. I had a vision for a more personal, patient-centered approach, and I realized that to truly grow not just professionally, but for the sake of my clients I needed to step out on my own.
Starting Preservation Beauty was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The love, support, and encouragement I’ve received since taking that leap has been incredibly humbling, and I’m beyond grateful to be building something that feels true to who I am and how I care for people.

The Defining Moment
There came a point when I could no longer ignore the voice inside me, the one that knew I was meant to create something of my own. My clients saw the care I put into every treatment, the intention behind every decision, and they’d often say, “You should open your own place”
I woke up one morning and thought that I did not want to regret the chance I never took and I couldn’t let fear hold me back anymore. I turned in my resignation that same day.
As much as I was grateful for where I started, I realized I wanted to do things differently with more heart, more freedom, and a deeper connection to each person I treated. I wanted to build a space that wasn’t just about beauty, but about trust, transformation, and honoring the uniqueness of every face that walked through the door. So, I took the leap, not just for me, but for the people who inspired me every single day. It reminds me that when you lead with passion and purpose, the rest will follow.
What “Preservation Beauty” Means to Me
I believe in helping people age gracefully by providing natural and beautiful results. The name reflects my philosophy: to preserve and elevate the unique features that make someone feel like themselves. I want to preserve your beauty, not make you look like a different person or overdone. Often, people don’t realize how beautiful they truly are until balance is restored, like how enhancing the chin can reveal the beauty of the lips. It’s all about creating harmony, so your natural beauty shines through.
Building the Dream—Challenges and Growth
Building my own clinic was both exciting and challenging... especially while balancing the roles of entrepreneur, wife, and mother. Beyond being an injector, I had to carefully curate every aspect of the practice: from selecting the right products and neuromodulators to investing in cutting-edge laser technologies, all while staying present for my family. I am always thinking of ways to enhance my practice and making sure my clients always have an elevated experience.

Finding My First Clients
I’ve always been a good listener, and that strength naturally made me a better provider. I took the time to truly hear my clients’ stories, goals, and what lead them to my treatment chair. Part of being a nurse is caring for being and not being a salesperson. My clients know that I will never recommend treatments they don’t need. By aligning their desires with my professional expertise, I was able to create results that felt authentic and beautiful to them. That balance between listening and guiding helped me build trust from the very beginning. My clients knew they were being heard, and that I wasn’t just following a trend or a template. I was creating a plan tailored just for them. That trust turned into loyalty, and loyalty turned into referrals, helping me grow organically in those early days.
What Sets Us Apart
At Preservation Beauty, we prioritize genuine care over sales. As a small, family-owned practice, we’re deeply committed to each client who places their trust in us. Unlike larger, impersonal clinics, we focus on creating a personalized experience that begins before you arrive and continues long after your visit. Our goal is for every patient to feel cared for, refreshed, and naturally beautiful with every treatment. You’re not just another appointment, you’re part of our community.
Advice for Aspiring Aesthetic Providers
If you’re truly passionate about beauty and aesthetics, never stop learning. This industry is constantly evolving, and staying at the forefront means continually investing in your education. Don’t get discouraged by competition or fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others, this isn’t a popularity contest. Focus on honing your skills, showing up with genuine care, and staying dedicated to your craft. When you lead with talent and authenticity, the right clients will find you and they’ll stay because they trust you.
What’s Next for Preservation Beauty
One of my goals for Preservation Beauty is to expand into the world of wellness. I’ve always believed that true beauty starts from within. When we take care of our internal health, it radiates outward. By integrating wellness services with aesthetics, I can offer a more holistic approach to beauty and health. My vision is to help patients feel balanced, healthy, and beautiful from the inside out because preserving beauty isn’t just about appearance, it’s about overall well-being.
